PeopleSoft – Consulting Services – Extend

CedarCrestone recognizes the majority of clients initially implement the most strategic modules based on business requirements. A subsequent phase typically follows the initial implementation with additional modules. Specifically, many clients decide to take advantage of PeopleSoft Enterprise Self Service and Portal Applications. As such, CedarCrestone has made a true commitment to develop and support services around these applications by the following means:

  • Research the trends in self service and portal solutions
  • Develop a self service and portal strategy
  • Refine CedarCrestone's implementation methodology
  • Develop efficient implementation tools
  • Provide specific self service and portal training to CedarCrestone's consultants

Utilizing CedarCrestone’s Propel Methodology, additional modules or applications are implemented to extend the enterprise in a structured, yet flexible, approach to ensure complete project success. The CedarCrestone Propel Methodology phases are outlined below.

PHASE I – PLAN & PREVIEW
Unique to CedarCrestone, the Plan & Preview phase allows CedarCrestone to gather the information required to determine the client’s business, application, and technology needs. The Plan & Preview phase lays the foundation for a successful project by outlining project standards, strategies, and plans, in addition to defining and fine-tuning the project scope, timeline, and resource requirements.

PHASE II – ANALYZE & DESIGN
The Analyze & Design phase includes infrastructure preparation, the installation of the PeopleSoft application, and Interactive Design and Prototyping (IDP). These activities are essential for a successful implementation. CedarCrestone assesses the existing PeopleSoft Enterprise infrastructure and security to ensure the environment is tuned and optimized to create unsurpassed performance, reliability, and security. Additionally, customizations, reports, interfaces, and conversion programs are designed and functional specifications are documented.

PHASE III – CONFIGURE & DEVELOP
The Configure & Develop phase addresses the functional and technical aspects of the implementation, including processes, procedures, customizations, interfaces, reports, and conversion. During this phase the PeopleSoft modules are configured and validated to make certain the client's requirements are met. Timeframes for development are largely dependent upon product modifications and security requirements.

PHASE IV – TEST & TRAIN
During the Test & Train phase, the project team validates the system is operating as expected and trains the users. This effort ensures the system and users are prepared to go live.

PHASE V – DEPLOY & OPTIMIZE
The Deploy & Optimize phase marks the delivery of the system to the users through go live. In addition, CedarCrestone provides support as requested by the client. CedarCrestone clients who have extended the enterprise are realizing a superior ownership experience, through the increased value of their PeopleSoft investment.
